Planning your Future

There are many great opportunities to develop your employability, and the Careers and Employability Service is here to help you do just that. Some opportunities come from your degree - projects, placements, membership of societies and leadership schemes. You should also consider part-time work, internships and volunteering to add to your skills and experience. It is never to early to start researching your options and adding to your CV.

Take a look at the other sections on this site, particularly Getting Experience for more ideas. You will also find Options with your Subject a good starting point for research into the wide variety of careers available but think beyond your degree subject if there are careers you are interested in.

Remember to visit the Careers and Employability Centre at any stage for advice, guidance, information and support, and regularly check the jobs and events on UniHub.

If you are just starting to think about your future the following sections will be valuable

You can also find out what other Sheffield Hallam graduates have gone on to do

We also have information available to support specific groups of students with careers and employability related issues.
