About us

For students and graduates

The Careers and Employability Service is open to all current students and graduates of the last five years. Our aim is to help you enhance your employability by providing a range of facilities and services to enable you to make well-informed decisions about your current and future plans.

We offer advice, guidance and information on a range of career-related issues, from choosing a career to finding work to undertaking further study or taking time out. We have a range of information resources and facilities for researching jobs, producing your CV and applications and rooms available to book for telephone and Skype interviews.

On our sister site, UniHub, we advertise graduate positions with thousands of regional, national and international recruiters. We also offer a range of careers events, including employer presentations, employability skills sessions and recruitment fairs and our Campus Jobs service provides casual and part-time work within the university.

For staff

Our mission is simple; We Transform Lives. This simple statement distils our ambition as a modern university to transform the lives of our students through an applied educational experience. Our students will be confident, creative, resilient and responsible - prepared for whatever they decide to do.

The new employability plan provides an overarching framework to build on our employability offer. Staff can view our dedicated Employability Plan website that outlines the case for change and our ambition to improve Graduate Outcomes across all of the TEF measures.
