The Hallam Internship / Start-up Scheme 2019

What is The Hallam Internship Scheme?

The University is offering a funded internship scheme to support Sheffield Hallam University graduates wanting to gain quality work experience to support their employability after graduation.

You will be provided with a bursary from Sheffield Hallam University and employers will have the opportunity to provide match funding to extend the internship period.

If you are a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University then you will have the chance to apply for the scheme to be put forward for suitable internship roles that match your skill set and will provide you with a bursary for completing the work.

Alternatively, there may be the opportunity to apply for funding for unpaid work experience that you have found yourself. 

What is the Hallam (Graduate) Start-up Scheme?

This scheme provides bursaries that are specifically available to graduates who are keen to set-up their own commercial or social enterprise ventures.

Who can apply?

  • You must be a recent graduate (2018) from Sheffield Hallam University

  • You must be able to commit to the timeline set up by the Hallam Internship Scheme team [Timelines may vary for the Hallam (Graduate) Start-up Scheme]

  • You must be able to confirm you are legally entitled to work in the UK during the time of your internship and can produce ID/VISA/Passport to demonstrate this.

Note: if you are an international student, you are advised to check the International Office’s immigration pages for further advice regarding work restrictions on your visa.

Timeframe

Schemes will launch on 1st February 2019.
